‘FUKUSHIMA!’ 선언문

2011년 8월 15일 후쿠시마에서 음악을 중심으로 한 축제를 개최합니다.
이를 계기로 다양한 프로젝트를 장기적으로 전개합니다.

이름은 ‘FUKUSHIMA!’. ‘No More Fukushima’도 ‘일어서라 후쿠시마’도 아닌 아무 형용사도 붙지 않는 ‘FUKUSHIMA!’. 현재 있는 그대로의 후쿠시마를 바라보고 싶다는 마음으로 후쿠시마에서 태어나 자란 연고 있는 음악가와 시인 등 유지가 모였습니다. 지진과 해일의 피해뿐만 아니라 해결의 전망이 보이지 않는 원자력 발전소가 있는 사실을 고려하면 지금은 후쿠시마에서 축제를 개최할 시기가 아니라는 의견도 있을 것입니다.

그러나 아니 그럴 때야말로 현실과 어떻게 마주보는가 하는 시점과 방향성을 사람들에게 시사해 줄 수 있는 힘을 가지고 있는 음악과 시, 그리고 예술이 필요하다고 우리는 믿고 있습니다. 불명예스러운 땅으로 전 세계에 알려진 FUKUSHIMA. 그러나 우리는 결코 후쿠시마를 포기하지 않았습니다. 고향을 잃게 될지도 모르는 위기적인 상황 속에서도 후쿠시마가 밖의 세상과 연계하고 후쿠시마에서 살아가는 희망을 가지고 후쿠시마의 미래를 생각해 보고 싶습니다. 이를 위해서는 축제가 필요합니다. 사람들이 모여 이야기를 주고받는 곳이 필요합니다. 축제를 통해 현재의 후쿠시마를, 그리고 앞으로의 후쿠시마를 전 세계를 향해 알립니다. FUKUSHIMA를 긍정적인 말로 바꾸겠다는 결심을 가지고.

Fukushima! Mission Statement

On August 15, 2011, we will hold a festival focused on music in Fukushima.
We will also carry out diverse project on a long-term basis using this event as a springboard.

The title for the event is Fukushima!.

Not No More Fukushima nor Stand Up Fukushima, but just Fukushima!, free of any adjectives.
We want to start by looking at Fukushima in its current state, unvarnished by any words.
It is with such a thought in mind that musicians and poets who were born and raised in Fukushima came together.

Some may feel that this is no time for a festival, given that Fukushima is faced not only with the damage of the earthquake and the tsunami, but also with a crippled nuclear power plant for which solutions are nowhere in sight.

Despite that, or rather precisely for that reason, we believe that we need music and poetry and art that hold the potential of pointing us to a possible viewpoint on and direction for how to confront reality.

Fukushima has come to be known around the world with a stigma.
But we will not give up on Fukushima.
Even amidst a crisis that may cause our hometowns to be lost, we would like to think about the future of Fukushima by retaining its connection with the outside world and the hope of continuing to live in this land. For that too, we need a festival.
We need a place where people can gather to converse.

Through the festival, we will let the entire world know about Fukushima as it is now, and as it will be in the future.
We are determined to turn Fukushima into a positive word.
